Antonius Vessel Heads returns to the Carbon Capture Technology Expo 2024: Ready for the Future

This year, Antonius Vessel Heads will participate in the Carbon Capture Technology Expo for the second time, which will take place from October 23 to 24, 2024, at Messe Hamburg. Last year, the company also exhibited at this event, which was then held in Bremen. The success of the previous edition led to the event being moved to Hamburg, a larger venue featuring no less than 800 exhibitors and over 15,000 participants. This event, focused on carbon capture, utilisation & storage (CCUS), is an essential platform for companies like Antonius Vessel Heads, who are actively involved in supplying critical components in this segment.

Return to the Expo: Why is participation so important?

According to Rob Derix, Director of Antonius Vessel Heads, the decision to return to the expo was an obvious one. “Last year, we received a lot of positive feedback, both from customers and partners. The demand for solutions to reduce CO2 emissions has only grown since then,” says Derix. The move to Hamburg also offers additional opportunities. “The new location is larger and attracts more international players, allowing us to reach more people interested in our products.”

Antonius Vessel Heads specializes in manufacturing tank Heads for storage tanks used in the carbon capture industry. The company supplies both land-based projects and the maritime sector, where strict requirements and certifications apply. “We are ready to present these solutions further to the market,” says Derix.

What’s happening in the market, and how is the order intake looking?

The carbon capture market is growing rapidly, driven by goals and regulations surrounding CO2 emissions. Industries such as fertilizers, steel, chemicals, and plastics are especially pressured to reduce their emissions. “We are seeing a clear increase in project inquiries for carbon capture solutions,” confirms Derix. “At the moment, we have several projects in production and others in the request phase. These often involve tank heads ranging from 4 to 7 meters in diameter and with a thickness between 20 and 35 mm.”

Antonius Vessel Heads primarily supplies hemispherical and elliptical heads for large storage tanks used in both land-based and maritime applications. The demand for marine storage tanks is growing rapidly, which brings higher demands for certifications and technical specifications. “The equipment manufacturers assembling these tanks are our key customers, and we see their need for reliable, fast-delivery components continue to grow,” says Derix.

What does Antonius Vessel Heads want to discuss at the expo?

With the rapidly growing carbon capture market, Antonius Vessel Heads views the Carbon Capture Technology Expo as an important opportunity to engage with everyone involved in the development of carbon capture technologies. Marco Hamersma and Rob Derix will represent Antonius Vessel Heads at the expo and are available to discuss key industry topics, such as engineering, welding, assembly, transport/logistics (especially from the water), and their ability to deliver quickly.

“We want to show that we are a reliable partner for companies involved in carbon capture. With our years of experience in producing tank heads and our short delivery times, we can help them achieve their sustainability goals,” explains Derix.

Additionally, the expo is a key opportunity to strengthen networking relationships and initiate new collaborations. “We look forward to talking with industry experts and other leading companies involved in the development of carbon capture technologies,” says Derix. “By sharing our expertise and listening to the needs of our customers, we can better support their transition to a low-carbon future.”

With a clear focus on innovation and collaboration, Antonius Vessel Heads will once again play a prominent role during this leading expo in Hamburg. “We are ready to shape the future of carbon capture,” concludes Derix.

In Conclusion

We invite everyone to visit us. We also look forward to meeting other exhibitors. If you plan to attend the expo or are an exhibitor, let us know. We’d be happy to schedule a meeting.

Best regards,
