Segmented Head

Antonius is specialized in the manufacture of vessel heads in various shapes and materials.  Our production facilities are equipped for a wide range of sizes and thicknesses, precisely matched to the desired product. Of course, depending on the type of material.

No limit in sizes, thicknesses ranging from 3 to 120 mm.

A Segmented or segmental head can have any shape like Elliptical heads 2:1 / Elliptical heads 1,9:1 / Korbbogen heads / Kopperhead. When the head is too big to press in a standard tooling or form the head by Cold pressing and spinning, the head needs to be produced in crown (cap) and petals (segments). The segments or petals are (hot/cold) pressed in a special made tooling. The central cap (crown) can be pressed in a conventional method (hot/cold). The number of segments and diameter of the central cap are depending on availability of material sizes, effective material nesting and the maximum size of the tooling. ANTONIUS produces and engineers the tooling in house.
